Covenant of care

have read, understand and agree to comply with all the policies and procedures of Dorion Evangelical Church to protect the health and safety of Children, Youth and Adults at all times.

I also acknowledge the paramount importance of safeguarding in all respects all of those with whom we work, especially Children, Youth and Vulnerable Adults and commit to providing a caring environment by:
  • Adhering to the Code of Conduct;
  • Following all of the directives of the policies;
  • Complying with the information given in my orientation and refresher trainings;
  • Avoiding opportunities to be alone with a vulnerable person;
  • Using appropriate language;
  • Not changing diapers or taking children to the washroom alone;
  • Showing no bias on account of gender, ethnic background, skin colour, intelligence, age, religion, or socio-economic status;
  • Respecting confidentiality and privacy, except in cases where I am legally bound to report; and
  • Striving to be an example for others in my speech, behaviour and actions.
