Lesson
Sit kids in a circle. Have a real leaf, a flower (real or fake), or a picture of trees and plants.
a) Show plants and trees
Hold up a leaf or plant picture:
“Look at this leaf. Feel it with your fingers—soft or rough? Plants and trees are all around us. Grass, flowers, big tall trees—God made them all.”
Point to a picture (or out the window if you can see trees):
“We can sit under trees for shade. We eat fruits that grow on plants. Plants and trees are good gifts from God.”
b) Short lesson paragraphs
Open your Bible to Genesis 1:9–13 and hold it where kids can see.
“The Bible tells us that after God made sky and water, the world was still empty. There was no grass. There were no flowers. There were no trees.”
“Then God spoke. God said there should be dry ground and plants. God made green grass grow. God made flowers and bushes. God made trees with fruit. God made plants and trees, and God said it was good.”
d) Key phrase with motions
Teach and repeat:
“God made plants and trees. Jesus loves me.”
Motions:
e) Optional short video (4–8 minutes)
If you have a creation Day 3 preschool video (plants and land), show it.
