- “The angel said, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy for everyone. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.’”
- “The angel told the shepherds, ‘You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’”

Craft – “Angels Tell the Good News”
Goal: Angel-and-shepherd craft with a simple good-news sentence.
Steps
When finished, have kids hold up their crafts and say:
Steps
- Give each child a paper.
- Help them glue an angel in the sky area and a shepherd on the field.
- Let them draw sheep near the shepherd and a small stable or manger near baby Jesus (or just a star above the stable area).
- Add the phrase at the bottom:
- “Angels said, ‘Jesus is born!’ I am glad Jesus came.”
Children can add stars in the sky and hearts near the manger.
Craft talk (short paragraph as they work) - “Your picture shows an angel and shepherds. The angels brought good news: ‘Jesus is born!’ The shepherds went to see Jesus and were very happy. We can be happy too because Jesus came for us. When you look at this picture, remember: ‘Angels said, “Jesus is born!” I am glad Jesus came.’”
